Working together to prevent fraud and losses
The following tips help you avoid becoming a victim of fraud
  • Know and understand your card features and parameters.
  • Do not under any circumstances reveal your PIN to anyone.
  • Maintain PIN confidentiality: Do not keep your PIN and card in the same place, memorize your PIN. Do not write it anywhere, especially on the card; don’t keep it in your wallet next to your card.
  • when entering the PIN-code close the keypad from the people standing close;   
  • Be aware of your environs when retreating funds: Choose an ATM that is in a safe place and watch for distrustful persons or activity around.
  • If possible, avoid using an ATM during late evening hours, especially if you’re alone and the ATM is not well lit.
  • If someone else is using the ATM when you arrive, avoid standing back right behind him/her. Give him/her enough space to conduct his/her transaction in privacy.
  • As and when your transaction is concluded, make sure you have your card your money and your receipt and then leave at once.
  • Do not count your money by the ATM; go to a closed and unnoticed area.
  • Lower your daily and monthly withdrawal limits to the least needed possible to minimize fraud risk.
  • Read and check your transactions slip details before signing.
  • Get a receipt on the performed transaction.      
  • Cancel your card immediately if it gets lost, stolen or retained by an ATM.
  • Retain ATM slips: do not leave the received checks close to the ATM and destroy them when there is no need for them.
  • Always keep your slips to compare them with your monthly statement.
  • Sign new cards and destroy old ones.
  • Maintain and protect your card: remember your card is your cash money, keep it in a safe and secure place. Check it over from time to time especially if you don’t use it often.
  • Do not mark, scratch or punch holes on your card.
  • Do not lend your card to anyone under any situation.
  • Do not disclose your card information over the phone or internet. We strongly recommend you to avoid answering e-mails from strange sources requesting your cards details.
  • Use only prepaid internet card to shop on-line.
  • Consider SMS alert service for security reasons so you get notified to your mobile any time the card is used.
